Caroline celebrated her first Birthday last weekend. Although her actual birthday is on Thursday (the 10th), we had a party on Sunday and had family over to our house for her party. My mom and dad came and they brought my grand-parents down and Eric's whole side of the family made it along with his brother and wife with their three kids. We had a fun time and Caroline was happy as usual, working the room and socializing with all her guests :)
I can't believe its been a year since she was born. This year has flown by! I think trying to keep up with both of them has been so hectic that by the time we looked up its December again! Caroline has been walking for a while now and she adds new words every day. She loves the phone and says hello and puts anything that resembles a phone directly to her ear. She is becoming more and more fun for Kate. Sometimes they go in her room and I stand outside and listen to their conversations...well more so Kate telling her what to do, but its so cute and I can only imagine the fun they will have as they get older!
Here are a few pictures from Sunday's Birthday Bash!

Deck the Halls
Last night I had my tennis team over to our house for our annual Secret Santa exchange. They are such a cute bunch. So much fun and such sweet girls. I just love my job and they a big reason why. Kate and Caroline put on quite a show for them (more so Kate). Kate never stopped the entire night. I think my team realized that my real job is at home!

Happy Halloween!
We had a fun Halloween in Savannah. Kate went as Cinderella and Caroline was going to be a ladybug, but it was so hot down here I couldn't bring myself to put her in that costume in 80 degree weather. So I had to quickly think of something else and came up with the bunny idea. We borrowed our neighbor's golf cart and Eric zoomed us up to each front door. Kate was fascinated that all she had to say was trick or treat and random people would put candy in her pumpkin basket!

IronMan
Sunday Eric competed in his first IronMan event. It was in Augusta. It was a half IronMan which is a 70.3 He swam 1.2 miles, biked 56 miles and ran 13.1 miles! He had been training for this for almost a year. Eric started doing sprint triathlons last summer and quickly caught the bug for this sport. He set his sights on competing in Augusta and has been on a rigorous training schedule so he'd be ready for this race. We went up to Augusta on Friday night so all day Saturday he could eat well and prepare for Sunday morning. We took Kate with us and she was quite a trooper watching the race and cheering on her daddy. We are so proud of Eric for finishing and conquering his goal. Now maybe he'll sit still for a while...doubtful....

Sweet Caroline
Caroline is now 9 months old! She is already starting to take some steps. Her crawl is extremely fast and she is still just the sweetest little baby. She weighed in at 18lbs and 10 oz. She is 28 and 3/4 inches long.

Start Smart Soccer
Kate had her first soccer practice on Wednesday. We are probably crazy signing her up for soccer, but Eric and I can't wait to get started in the crazy world of youth sports. Soccer was the only sport they offered for 2 year olds, so Soccer it was! The parents participate with the kids for the 45 minute practice. They had three stations set up where the kids practice kicking into the goals, dribbling around cones and passing it to their parents. Kate was fascinated with the ball she got for signing up and didn't want to let go of it (she also got shin guards that took up her entire leg and a pack of cones to work on drills at home). Finally, by the end, she put the ball down and started kicking it. Some kids could do all of the stations and look like pros, others picked flowers, and some just darted off to the playground. We thought Kate was somewhere in the middle of that. She couldn't breeze through the stations, but she didn't opt for the swings. So hopefully the DI scouts will take note!

And meanwhile, little sister and her papa watched from the sidelines!

Dora Dora Dora The Explorer

Eric and I took Kate to see Dora Live at the Fox in Atlanta. Dora is her favorite show and she is pretty much obsessed. She has been talking about going to Dora Live for Months. Can't you see her excitement? ha!
