Auntie Amanda's Wedding

Kate and Caroline's Aunt Amanda was married two weekends ago in Powder Springs. It was a beautiful ceremony and a blast of a reception. Kate and Caroline were flower girls. Kate actually walked down the aisle. Meanwhile Caroline stayed behind in the nursery. Kate attending the rehearsal the Friday before and we couldn't get her to make it even half way down the long aisle at Midway Presbyterian. But on Saturday she brought her A game and walked with me down the aisle holding my hand. She sat through the ceremony with Grandmother. Kate loved dressing up and the attention that came with being a flower girl. She didn't make it to the reception because tiredness set in...but it was such a fun day and the sigh of relief when she did walk down the aisle was quite the release.  Amanda was a beautiful bride! Here are a few pictures from the ceremony.

Easter 2010

We spent Easter in Powder Springs with Grandmother and Granddaddy (or Buddy as Caroline is now calling him).  Caroline caught on quickly to the egg hunting. She would find an egg. Open it. Check out the Candy. Make a call on whether it was good enough to keep. Toss the Egg. Check out the last picture...we were trying to get them both to smile and look. Nice.

Kate's 3rd Birthday!

This weekend we celebrated Kate's 3rd Birthday. We had family over for cake and ice cream on Sunday. Kate wanted a purple and polka dot party...whatever that means! She wanted everything and everybody in purple and/or polka dots...so thats just what she got. Eric's brother Adam and his wife, and their 3 kids stayed with us. My parents came down along with my grandparents and my aunt Cheryl and Uncle Lewis. Also present at the party were Eric's Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. We had a house full! Kate got a playhouse for our backyard which kept the kids busy during the party.

Also, this weekend I had a tennis match and it was a Kid's Day event at the match. So Kid's Day pretty much equaled Amy brings her family to the match day. It was fun and the kids got to play with GUS the Eagle and see the Cheerleaders. Eric and his brother also competed in a triathlon before the match at Georgia Southern. So it was a weekend full of festivities. Here are a few pictures from everything!

Snow Daze

They say its been 14 years since Savannah has last seen snow. Kate has never seen snow in her almost 3 short years. Tonight when the snow started Kate was already in her "jammies" (which kinda explains her wardrobe)...she couldn't believe what she saw out the window. When Eric got home she quickly talked him into playing in it. They threw a few snowballs and she rode her tricycle around. She was amazed to say the least at what snow looked like, how it tasted and how beautiful it was. Many of our neighbors were outside hanging out, just taking in the rare sight!

The Big 0-1

Caroline celebrated her first Birthday last weekend. Although her actual birthday is on Thursday (the 10th), we had a party on Sunday and had family over to our house for her party. My mom and dad came and they brought my grand-parents down and Eric's whole side of the family made it along with his brother and wife with their three kids. We had a fun time and Caroline was happy as usual, working the room and socializing with all her guests :)

I can't believe its been a year since she was born. This year has flown by! I think trying to keep up with both of them has been so hectic that by the time we looked up its December again! Caroline has been walking for a while now and she adds new words every day. She loves the phone and says hello and puts anything that resembles a phone directly to her ear. She is becoming more and more fun for Kate. Sometimes they go in her room and I stand outside and listen to their conversations...well more so Kate telling her what to do, but its so cute and I can only imagine the fun they will have as they get older!

Here are a few pictures from Sunday's Birthday Bash!

Deck the Halls

Last night I had my tennis team over to our house for our annual Secret Santa exchange. They are such a cute bunch. So much fun and such sweet girls. I just love my job and they a big reason why. Kate and Caroline put on quite a show for them (more so Kate). Kate never stopped the entire night. I think my team realized that my real job is at home!

Happy Halloween!

We had a fun Halloween in Savannah. Kate went as Cinderella and Caroline was going to be a ladybug, but it was so hot down here I couldn't bring myself to put her in that costume in 80 degree weather. So I had to quickly think of something else and came up with the bunny idea. We borrowed our neighbor's golf cart and Eric zoomed us up to each front door. Kate was fascinated that all she had to say was trick or treat and random people would put candy in her pumpkin basket!
